Last week David had the opportunity to bless Daniel .
He did such an amazing job and the spirit was so strong.
Here are some pictures that we
took afterwards of Daniel in his blessing outfit.

Disposable Diapers

Disposable diapers are the greatest thing since epidurals. One day I would like to personally thank the person that invented them. I can't imagine having to hand wash diapers, YUCK!!

The Pacifier...

Daniel loves the Soothie brand pacifier that he got from the hospital. I don't know what we would do without it. Aside from feeding him, the soothie is the only thing that really calms him down. We don't go anywhere without it. We constantly find ourselves, along with everyone else holding it in so it doesn't roll away. Those things roll far when the fall.

Babies First Walk

We got this adorable bear outfit from the Whites and I couldn't help but put him in it for our first walk. He loved it outside. He hasn't been out much because its been so freezing cold. We walked daddy to scouts and then decided to pop in to visit Grandma and Grandpa Wilson (my parents). He got sick of the stroller after about 20 minutes and that is when I realized I didn't have his pacifier (bad move on my part).

Chubby Bubby

I love his face in this picture. He is actually
starting to show some intrest in David and I.

A smile!!!!

We weighed him two weeks ago
and he was about 10 pounds.
Babies grow up so fast!!!!

1st Road Trip

Road Trip!!!! Baby did such a good job.
We drove with Grandma, three hours to watch Aunt Lindsie
play Basketball and visit
Great Grandma & Grandpa Wilson.
He slept the entire way there and home.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Wilson

Daniel had the unique opportunity to visit with his Great Grandma & Grandpa Wilson this past month. Great Grandpa Wilson is 87 years old and has lost his short term memory. He doesn't always know who you are and never remembers you were there the next day, but is always excited
to have you stop and visit. When we were up there last he had the opportunity to hold Daniel, one I prayed for so many times while I was pregnant with Daniel. I just wanted Grandpa to be able to hold him and to get a picture of them together. This is one of several along with video I was able to get. It was so emotional for me. Here were two people on complete opposite ends of life's cycle. Daniel new and fresh from his Father in Heaven, and Grandpa waiting to return, their paths crossing for just a minute. Daniel LOVED sitting in Great Grandpas lap. It was as if he already knew him. He sat so content just looking up into his face. Great Grandpa even made up a song to sing for him. Great Grandma also loved baby Daniel and he loved her. She held him and adored him. It was a priceless memory that I will always treasure.

This is Daniel when he was
only 20 minutes old, his
little face was so swollen.

This is baby at one day old.
He wasn't real happy
with me in this picture.

Daniel is 2 days old in this picture. I think he looks
like he is smiling in this picture.

3 days old and eyes wide open!

Even though this picture is a little
blurry I think it is one of my favorites.
This is when Daniel was only 5 days old.

Update

Sorry we aren't the best at keeping this up. We are working on figuring out how to do more stuff with this blog. Our goal is to get a slide show on here of the baby with updated pictures. So far we have had no luck.
Daniel is growing up so fast. We weighed him two weeks ago and he was about 10 pounds and measured about 23 inches long. It is always hard to get him to stretch out all the way so he could be longer.
Sadly I had to go back to work this week. It is so hard to leave a little baby that you've been with day and night for 6 weeks. Thankfully we have wonderful mothers who are taking time out of their busy schedules to take care of him while I finish out the school year. We love our family!!!!

Babies grow up so fast! Daniel weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces at his two week check up and measured 22 1/2 inches long. He looks so different and is getting chubby. I kind of miss my little tiny baby and he isn't even that big yet. I'll be so sad when he is all grown up and leaves our house.

Daniel had his first bath on Friday. Mommy was afraid that he wouldn't like it but she was wrong, he loved it. He didn't cry, he just sat there staring at me. I love this little man!

Naps

There is something about a baby that makes you want to just cuddle up next to them on the couch and take a little nap. I just can't help it, I constantly find myself asleep next to Daniel. David is much stronger and more able to resist, but even the strong fall.

Night time with Daniel

He hasn't quite figured out that most people sleep at night and are awake during the day. He sleeps most of the day and loves to wake up mommy & daddy at 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 am. Sometimes he is up for an hour, like this morning. I can't put him back in his bed until he is asleep, look at those eyes, could you?

The baby is HERE!!!

At last after waiting nine months and a week we have our little baby. Daniel Cleveland Brown was born on the 29th of January 2008 at 8:24 p.m. He weighed in at 6 lbs 14 ounces and measured 19 1/2 inches long.
