Yellowstone Round 2

We went to Yellowstone again (We went with the Brown family back in May to Jackson Hole/Yellowstone I being very prego wasn't in any pictures and didn't take very many pictures). This time we entered through West Yellowstone because my grandma got us a cabin for the week in Island park. I wasn't sure how it would be taking a 3 week old baby and a 2 1/2 year old in the car for 5 hours but it worked great. My mom, grandma, aunt, cousin and sisters and of course the life saving Jake, were up there to help and made it a great vacation. Daniel had the best time and said all he wanted to see was: A horse, a Buffalo, a bear and Jake (no bear). Maggie didn't get sick (which I was so afraid of, but I did) and did such a great job sitting in her car seat most of the trip.
Headed to Yellowstone hoping to see

We saw Old Faithful
Uncle Jake and DanielAunt Pattie(also known as Grandma Pattie) and Cousin Annie(who will soon be leaving for college)
Maggie did a lot of sleeping
But was excited to see the animals
Daniel with a family of Buffalo in the background. There were two little babies so cute!I had to feed and change Maggie so Grandma and Jake went on a hike to a waterfall. After they got back the informed me it was a designed with a two year old in mind.
Daniel swinging on the swings at the Cabin
This is the Cabin I've been going to since I was Daniels age. Its nothing spectacular but full of great memories especially of my grandpa Dan, who we named Daniel after. He loved to take us up to the cabin it was his escape from his busy life. His spirit is everywhere there.

On the way home we stopped at Bear world so Daniel and Jake could see a real bear. We saw lots of them walking around and one even came right up to Daniels window. They have rides at the gift shop and we rod every one. We had a great time and were more then happy to get home after an extra long drive home.

The Highlight of the trip for me...

While we were waiting for Old Faithful to go off Daniel found some little Asian friends playing in the dirt making hills. He walked over to then and just started playing with them. They didn't speak any English but it didn't phase Daniel at all. He just got right down there and did what they did and at times even tried to say whatever they had said in there native language. When we were leaving he turned and shouted "Bocho" with a big smile on his face. The little girl looked at him like what the heck is he saying. Daniel took that as he had said the right word and again this time waving good-bye shouted "Bocho". He walked away with a big smile on his face telling us about his new friends. I had to save the best for last

I'm way impressed you took your two kids on a trip! I LOVE that story about Daniel. It is so classic of his personality. I'm sad we're not close enough to have playdates together.
