Yuna

I am so in love with this woman's voice. She is seriously so talented!

Back at it

We've had a crazy 3 months. Bullet points are easiest so here we go

December
*I went in for a routine yearly check up only to be told I had a lump in my throat that I was unaware of. Of course I panicked and thought Cancer. After many Dr. Visits, blood tests, an x-ray, ultra sound, and biopsy everything looks fine for right now.  I have a mixed nodule in my right thyroid. I'll get re-checked in 6 months. I was however very worried and stressed and didn't find out the results until the end of January. It was needless to say a long 2 months.
*We took off on the 17th to drive to Utah for 3 weeks! We are so blessed to be able to go back there as often as we do.
*Our kids are rockstars in the car and we set our new P.R. of 26 hours straight driving. We only stopped for gas and potty breaks.
*We FINALLY upgraded to a Swagger wagon. We love all the space we now have.

*David and I celebrated 9 years of marriage!!!!
*We Survived 2 sets of family pictures

*Got to visit with all our immediate family members
*Enjoyed a little snow
*I got to see old friends
*Relaxed
*Went to the Temple (seriously, it is so nice to have babysitters and a Temple so close!)
*Celebrated New Years in true Brown style

January
*My brother and I made a ridiculous amount of hand cleaner for my dad (85 boxes worth)
*Headed home in our new ride, but it took FOREVER
*David and Daniel started back at school
*had 3 days off of school for "snow" days
*for the first time in 7 years, it did "snow"in New Orleans
*David turned 31!
*Daniel turned 6! We took cupcakes and sugary drinks to his class
*Hit the one year mark of David being bishop
*Our friends came back from their 6 months of away rotations and stayed with us for a few days

February
*Daniel Got strep throat and was out of school for 3 days
*Noah had yet another ear infection and is on round 2 of meds because the shot didn't work
*Aunty Bryan and Uncle Dylan came and visited for a week. We had way too much fun showing them what NOLA is all about, crawfish, Jambalaya, Gumbo and of course BLUE BELL!!!
*Daniel celebrated his first Valentines with his class and loved it
*I put together a last minute Valentines party for play group and it was so much fun
*David just finished acting in another play and begins rehearsal for his next play, this week
*I am LOVING my calling in Activity Days
*Noah has decided he wants to be a big boy and takes naps in Daniels bed
*Noah also decided that he wants to talk and has been using words more every day.
*Daniel was retested for the advanced placement school but is 9th on the waiting list and there are currently no openings. We are applying to 3 other schools and hoping one will be the right fit.
*Maggie is starting a little preschool with some of the kids in our ward

Thats about all the exciting events that have taken place.
Now for some pictures in a very random order

Snap shots

Ok so Snap Shot Saturday isn't really working for me, I refuse to give up though.
Sold my old broken phone this week to pay for my new one.
Great Grandma Sent CHOCOLATE ADVENT CALANDERS

Noah Loves feeding baby Atticus

Maggie's Favorite "game" on my phone is the color game aka snapchat

Noah is sporting his fav hat of the day

Daniels new basketball shoes. (Thanks grandma and grandpa Wilson)

Daniel rocked in his first basketball game. He hustles and isn't afraid to fight for the ball.
Brothers playing with our busy bags.
This goofball brings so much happiness to our family. That thing he is doing with his binky is a new trick and it drives me crazy for some reason. He is always coloring on something with markers most of the time himself. He also insisted on wearing the dog backpack all afternoon.

just me and my bestie

We are counting down the days until we are reunited with our family and friends back in Utah. Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us.
See you all in a little over a week!!!

Sunday Snap Shots

See I've already missed a snap shot Saturday. Good thing Sunday also starts with an S. We celebrated Thanksgiving in true Brown style with everyone being sick. We had made arrangements with some ward friends to have a huge feast, but all the kids came down with RSV and Noah had a double ear infection so it was a no go. It ended up being a nice relaxing day very low key and dinner turned out great. We also got to spend Friday afternoon at the park which was amazing.
I feel so blessed that we have been so well taken care of and that despite being so far from home we have our ward family. I am so Thankful for the gospel and the knowledge that comes from it. I am thankful for my family and my Savior who made it possible for me to be with them forever. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

The Dr office we spent 2 hours at

David and I went to a reception that had a photo booth and we had way too much fun!

The kids finally cleaned up their room

Saturday snap shots

I'd like to post pictures of our week on Saturdays so that I stay consistent with my blogging. For those that have Instagram this may be a repeat but for those that don't it'll be fresh and new.
We have great friends here in NOLA that keep us busy

Daniel LOVES to play any and all games.

These chairs were horrible but now I love them!
They make our kitchen so much better.
After much debate between the 5C or 5S I am happy I chose the 5C.
 Love me some pink!

After I cut his hair on Sunday D decided to 'fix' it Monday after school. I laughed so hard. We ended up having to buzz it all off and his bangs are still shorter.

Noah is the messy food king at our house.

Daniel and I got to support Daddy at his first play for school.
aFun date night with my little man.

Daniel got Student of the Month for his class.
I'm so proud of him for all his hard work.
And our post wouldn't be complete without a little crazy.
