Christmas Tree

We went and picked out Daniels first Christmas tree. We bundled up and headed to the nearest tree lot to start our hunt. I wanted a short fat one but they are hard to come by. I wanted it to be perfect. The man then reminded me that one side is against the wall. It isn't perfect but I am proud of our little Charlie Brown tree. Its Daniels new favorite toy.

Peas

I made Daniel try peas I bet you can't guess what he thought of them...

Idaho

Another trip to Idaho to visit my dear Grandma and Grandpa.
I love them and every minute I spend with them is a treasure. They both love Daniel so much. When I handed Daniel to my Grandpa to take this picture Daniels shirt was up so my Grandpa did his best to fix it so they both would look good for the picture. I love them.

This is my all time favor
ite face Daniel has ever made. I can't get him to do it now but for that weekend he was all about it.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we were blessed to have 3 wonderful meals. We started the Sunday before with a feast at my Grandmas house. All the family that lives in Utah were there and what a blast it was not to mention to wonderful tasting food. Thursday morning my mom made the best breakfast because Lindsie had to back in Montana that night. Then we headed for the Brown family feast. I made two chocolate pie. My mom made them for Sundays dinner and I loved it. So I made my own chocolate gram cracker crust and filling hoping that everyone would love them as much as I had. Daniel did get the first try and seemed to be pleased with the outcome. The true test was dessert Thursday afternoon. Both pies gone, Success.

Give it up for the STICK

You might want to rethink your Christmas list. The National Toy Hall of Fame recently announced this years’ best-toy inductees.

They are…. drum roll please…… the baby doll, the skateboard and the stick. While the baby doll and the skateboard are pretty obvious, the fact that the lowly, yet extremely versatile stick is considered worthy of Hall of Fame status just makes me smile.

More important than its wide popularity, educational qualities and ability to nurture discovery and imagination is the fact that the stick has maintained its status as a favorite toy for many generations.

Chances are, your dad, your grandmother, her great grandfather and the Arch Bishop of Canterbury all spent some time pretending a stick was a sword, or a horse, or a magic wand.

In case you’re wondering, the cardboard box, was inducted in 2005. As we all know, you can blow hundreds of dollars on flashing, walking, talking, flying, drooling, peeing toys only to find that your busy little dude and dudette are more interested in the box the toy came in.

THE BEACH!!!

You can't visit Oregon without going to the beach. So on Friday we headed to Seaside. I was so happy all day. We played in the water (a first for baby D) it was really cold but it was so worth it. Daniel added something new to his diet, sand and boogers YUM YUM!!!

The Pumpkin Patch

While we were in Oregon we went to the funnest little pumpkin patch. Daniel met some goats and rabbits, rode a pumpkin train and climbed to the top of the hay pyramid. What a day!

Daniel is on the move...

We have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Daniel has been attempting to crawl for the past 4 weeks. Our only problem was he was stuck in reverse. Finally today he kicked into drive.
We are so lucky Uncle Tyler had his camera on hand.

Me and "D"

I love playing with D even if we are just taking 50 pictures.

Baby D

Here are some great pictures I took of Daniel today when we were playing outside.

Daniel got some great hand-me-downs from my cousin. These shoes are my favorite. He wore them for about 30 minutes before he kicked them off. I also love him in overalls.

"Bear Naked"

Uncle Chase and Aunt Jen spent the summer in Alaska. They brought Daniel back one of the cutest outfits he has. I couldn't help but take pictures of him. SO CUTE!!!! Thanks Jen and Chase!!!

Teeth

Daniel has two new teeth as of yesterday. Sadly David and I have come to realize that after he gets all those nice new pearly whites he will no longer have his adorable old man profile. We love his baby chin.

Long time coming

So I apologize that it took so long to update the blog. I have been so busy with school that I have totally neglected it. So here are some "new" pictures of the baby from graduation. More to come I promise.
